Who runs this site

Frisco Rec Guide is a small independent publication written by the Frisco Rec Guide Editorial Team. We are not part of the City of Frisco, its Parks & Recreation Department or the Frisco Athletic Center, and nobody at those organizations reviews or approves what we publish.

We started the site because the information a family needs to choose an FAC plan is spread across several city web pages and a 28-page member handbook. Our goal is to put it in one place, in plain English, with the comparisons and arithmetic that the official pages do not do for you.

Editorial policy

  • Official sources first. Every price, hour, age rule and policy on this site comes from a City of Frisco web page or official city document. We list those sources at the bottom of each page.
  • No guessing. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out or say plainly that you should confirm it with the center.
  • Conflicts are flagged, not hidden. When two official sources disagree (for example, two rate cells that differ between the city's Memberships page and the Member Handbook), we show both figures and tell you to confirm.
  • Our math is labeled. Savings, break-even points and household totals are our own calculations from posted rates, and we say so.
  • No paid placement. No gym, business or agency pays to be mentioned or ranked here. We do not publish reviews or testimonials.

How we check facts

  1. We read the city's FAC Memberships, Hours, Features, Fitness, Water Park and Season Pass pages and the FAC Member Handbook PDF.
  2. We compare figures across those sources and with widely used third-party listings, and treat the city as the authority.
  3. We record every source and the date we checked it. The current figures were checked on November 3, 2026.
  4. We review the pages when the city publishes new rates or a new season begins.
