Frisco Athletic Center Membership Prices and Types, Explained

Four plan types, three ways to pay and two rate tiers. Here is how the numbers fit together and which combination costs least for your household.

This page is the detailed companion to our Frisco Athletic Center membership guide. It covers the four plan types, the three ways to pay, and the rules that decide what you actually spend over a year, including refunds and freezes. All prices are the 2026 rates posted by the City of Frisco, checked on November 3, 2026.

The four FAC membership types

The FAC sorts members by age and household, not by access level. Everyone gets the same building, so the only decision is which bucket your household fits into.

Plan types with annual prices
PlanWho qualifiesResident annualNon-resident annual
AdultOne person 18+$519$808
Senior / Student60+; or ages 3–17; or any age with current enrollment$404$635
CoupleAn adult 18+ and one more person at the same address$693$1,039
FamilyAll members at one address, up to 5 before extra fees$808$1,212

Two definitions are worth reading closely. The Student rate is not just for kids: anyone who can show current enrollment qualifies, whatever their age, so a 22-year-old college student pays the same as a 10-year-old. The Couple plan is about a shared household rather than a relationship. The city's web page says the second person must be 12 or older, while the Member Handbook says 3 or older, so if you want a Couple plan for one parent and a young child, confirm the age rule first.

Three ways to pay

Monthly rates by billing style
PlanResident auto-draftResident 30-dayNon-resident auto-draftNon-resident 30-day
Adult$51$57$80$87
Senior / Student$39$46$64$69
Couple$69$74$103$105 or $110†
Family$80Not offered$80 or $121†Not offered

† The city's Memberships page and the FAC Member Handbook list different figures for these two cells. Confirm with Member Services before paying.

  • Monthly auto-draft charges your card every month until you cancel with the city's form. It is the cheapest monthly option and the only monthly option for Family plans.
  • 30-day month-to-month is a one-off pass valid for 30 days from purchase. There is no penalty for letting it lapse, but the handbook says card numbers are not stored, so you renew it in person.
  • Annual is paid in full at once. Every membership, whatever the billing style, is paid in full at registration.

Worked examples

These scenarios use resident rates; the logic is the same for non-residents.

Two adults in one home

Two separate Adult auto-drafts cost $102 a month. A Couple auto-draft is $69, saving $33 a month or $396 over a year. On annual billing the gap is $1,038 for two Adult plans versus $693 for a Couple plan, a $345 difference.

Two parents and two kids

Pricing everyone separately on annual plans (two adults plus two students) comes to $1,846. A Couple plan plus two Student plans is $1,501. A single Family annual plan is $808. Once a household has three or more people, Family is the clear choice, and it is also the plan that unlocks Play Depot childcare.

A household of seven

A Family plan covers up to five people before extra fees. Our reading of the footnote is that each additional person adds $10 a month on auto-draft or a one-time $100 on annual, which would make a seven-person resident family $100 a month or $1,008 a year. The city's wording is brief, so confirm the total at the desk.

A single senior who swims twice a week

The Senior auto-draft is $39 a month. An adult day pass is $15, so the membership pays for itself on the third visit each month. At eight swims a month, each visit works out to under $5.

Refunds, cancellations and freezes

This is where monthly and annual plans really differ. The rules below come from the Member Handbook.

  • Monthly and auto-draft payments are non-refundable. To stop auto-draft, the primary account holder submits the cancellation form online or in person. If it arrives at least five days before the billing date, the next charge is not taken; if it arrives after billing, the account stays active for that final 30 days.
  • Annual 30-day opt-out. Within 30 days of buying an annual plan, you can request a refund without a withdrawal fee. One month at the monthly rate is deducted from what you paid.
  • Annual refunds after 30 days are prorated by the months that have passed, calculated at the monthly rate, minus a $25 administrative fee. Expired memberships are not refunded, and card payments are refunded to the same card.
  • Flex-freeze. An active annual plan can be frozen once per 12-month term for 4 weeks to 6 months, at $10 per frozen month, paid when the freeze ends; the membership is extended by the frozen period. A three-month freeze costs $30. A Family freeze applies to the whole household, and monthly plans cannot be frozen.
Paperwork matters

Cancellations, refunds and freezes are only accepted on the city's completed, signed forms, available from the Memberships page. A phone call alone will not stop an auto-draft.

Discounts at a glance

Retired and veteran military members and first responders (fire, EMT and police not employed by the City of Frisco) get 20% off monthly or annual Family or Adult plans. Active military members on leave receive a complimentary Adult or Family membership for the length of their leave, regardless of residency. City employees have their own free membership benefit. Details are in the discounts section of our main guide.

How to choose in one minute

  1. Count the people at your address who will use the FAC. Three or more: Family. Two: Couple. One: Adult, or Senior/Student if you qualify.
  2. Decide whether you will use it at least ten months of the year. Yes: annual. Not sure: auto-draft.
  3. Check whether you live inside Frisco city limits or work in Frisco; either one gets you the resident rate. See how to prove Frisco residency.
  4. Only visiting a few times? Compare with day pass prices first.
