What we collect when you visit, how advertising cookies work and the choices you have.
Last updated: November 2026
Effective date: November 3, 2026
This privacy policy explains what information Frisco Rec Guide ("we", "us") collects when you visit friscoathleticcentermembership.shop, how it is used, and the choices you have. Independent guide. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the City of Frisco or the Frisco Athletic Center.
Information we collect
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, pages visited and the date and time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
- Cookies. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site does not use cookies to identify you itself, but advertising and analytics partners described below may set cookies or use similar technologies.
- Email. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply and do not sell or share it.
We have no user accounts, comment forms or sign-up forms, and we do not ask for payment details.
Advertising and Google AdSense
We may use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
Where required by law, a consent message provided by Google will ask for your choices before personalized ads are shown.
Analytics
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive, in aggregate. Such services may use cookies or similar technologies and collect information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, and device type. We use this only to improve the site.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the site.
- To respond to messages you send us.
- To show advertising that helps pay for the site.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
Your US state privacy rights (including California)
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law (such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah or Texas), you may have the right to know what personal information is collected about you, to request deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for targeted advertising. Because ad partners may use cookies for personalized ads, you can opt out using the Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info links above, or by enabling a Global Privacy Control signal in your browser where supported. To make a request about information we hold, such as an email you sent us, write to contact@friscoathleticcentermembership.shop. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland
This site is written for a US audience. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR and similar laws to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Our legal bases are your consent (for non-essential cookies, collected through Google's consent tool where shown) and our legitimate interest in running a secure website. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. In line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
